I love to travel; I’m not sure what exactly draws me to see different places, but I think it all started the first time I left the States to live in Israel for a work study program. That first experience showed me that people in different countries have a lot in common with where I came from, but at the same time, the way they lived, ate, thought and behaved varied greatly. My occlusion was that my way of living and thinking wasn’t necessarily better, it was only different. This realization lit a spark somewhere inside me to learn about these differences in a nonjudgmental way.
